I’m trying to realign my career towards AI development. What is the best guidance for me?

Currently, I’m doing the following:

  1. Strengthening my Mathematics. My question specifically is are there specific areas of math that will be more coveted than others in relation to AI?
  2. I’m learning Caffe and the Cognitive Services software?
  3. I’ve started learning Movidius Products which is sort of like a portable deep learning toolkit? Do you think this has much promise? I know Microsoft’s approach has been cloud-based so I’m curious to hear directions on offline AI solutions because internet connective is not everywhere yet.
  4. What is a good web source(s) for reference architectures when designing AI solutions?

I would advise you to have a look at the coursera MOOCs on Machine Learning and Deep Learning from Andrew Ng. Part of the deep learning specialization is a course on structuring Machine Learning projects.

Udacity is also proposing some courses.
