Hello
I have attended several ACM TechTalks recently and noticed that while the content is often excellent; the format can feel a bit one-way like listening to a lecture without much interaction.
I am curious; are there effective ways to turn these into more dynamic, two-way experiences where audiences feel more engaged & involved?![]()
Some speakers are starting to add Q&A pauses or quick polls during the talk, which helps but managing these live interactions can be tricky; especially over video.![]()
Are there tools / strategies (like chat integration, live coding segments, or short breakout discussions) that work well without derailing the flow / adding too much complexity?
Checked ACM TechTalks on AI & Machine Learning for reference.
Also; while exploring collaboration tools, I wondered what is jira and whether its issue-tracking & workflow tools could inspire ways to let attendees “flag” topics / questions during a TechTalk. Could we borrow that idea to help presenters see and respond to audience priorities in real time?![]()
Thank you !!![]()
